Install the APK

  1. Download the APK

    On your phone, tap “Download APK”. Chrome may ask whether you want to keep the file – tap “Download anyway”.

  2. Open the file

    Open the downloaded file from the notification or the “Files” app → Downloads.

  3. Allow “Install unknown apps”

    Android asks once for permission: Settings → turn on “Allow from this source” for Chrome or “Files”. Depending on the device: Settings → Apps → Special app access → Install unknown apps.

  4. Install and play

    Tap “Install”. Updates install the same way over the old version – your progress is kept.

  5. Revoke the permission again (recommended)

    Afterwards you can turn “Allow from this source” off again.

Verify the checksum (optional): the file’s SHA-256 must match the value above, e.g. with sha256sum on a computer.
